Creative director of Gbagyichild Entertainment, Lydia Sobogun has announced that the fifth anniversary of the monthly gathering, Taruwa, will be going down on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 (today) at the Bogobiri House, Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to Sobogun, the gathering has in the past five years successfully progressed into an avenue for ground breaking, fresh and promising talent. The monthly event, she says has achieved consequential result since its birth in August, 2007 which explains the need for the celebration of its fifth anniversary.
The anniversary edition has been tagged ‘Positive Tuesday’ and will also feature the unveiling of the latest edition of the quaterly Taruwa Magazine, which is the publication arm of the gathering.
Taruwa, which means ‘gathering’ in hausa language, is a platform for upcoming artistes, poets, writers as well as a convergence for art lovers.
